Who Doesn’t Like Opening Presents?

We all love to feel special.

Well, I do, anyway. Don’t you?

I know this sounds cheesy, but last year I had a mini epiphany: each and every one of our supporters (whether you donate, wear The Stitch, or simply follow us on Facebook or Instagram) is our absolute most important supporter.

Yes, it sounds like a really generic corporate mantra. But it genuinely is a belief that we strive to always remember (even though we admittedly fall short on occasion).

So, how does this play out in our day-to-day operations?

One simple example I can give you is our packaging for The Stitch clothing line. Heck, I could use the whole product as an example – but, for now, I’ll just focus on the packaging.

I, for one, love opening presents. In fact, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t. It’s fun! When you open a present, you feel special. After all, we typically only receive presents from people who care about us (although, I’d love to amend this societal policy, so that everyone would give me presents. I’d really like that.).

We want you to feel just how special you are.

So, with this in mind, we designed our packaging so that when you receive your shirt in the mail from us, it’s all about you + you get to open it like a present.

We have really awesome volunteers who come into the office each week, and with their own two hands, they wrap and tie a bow around each shirt that we ship out. They do this because they care about and value you.

I think this is significant because it adds such a personal touch to the whole experience. A real human (with a big heart) packaged your shirt just for you.

Plus, it just looks awesome, I must say.

Bottom line is that you are whom we have to thank for sharing and spreading our mission and message. By wearing The Stitch, you’re the one who is impacting peoples’ lives. You’re the one who helps us grow and reach more people.

For this reason, I hope you know how important you are to us.
