Have you seen someone wearing The Stitch out and about? I want to hear your story! 🙂
I often think about how different our world would be if we each knew how valuable we are.
Q: What do you do when your office begins to burst at the seams, leaving room for either you (meaning me) or volunteers, but not really both?
A: You sucker your buddy into building an incredible “murphy desk”!
Being as the zigzag is physically symbolic of the frequency wave of your voice – which is truly unique to you – we thought the same should be true when you wear The Stitch.
The very thing that Phil loved – one-on-one conversation and relationship – is exactly what others will be receiving in his honor.
We’ve found that you all love The Stitch, and then you fulfill our mission on our behalf by sharing it with everyone you know and love.
We wanted to show you all the fun ways to rock The Stitch classic white v! It’s a perfect fit for whatever you’ve got up your sleeve!
When it comes to turning a once-negative thing into a positive thing that can bring truth, light, and hope to the lives of others… well, there’s nothing better.
Membership is $5+ per month. In one year, at $5 a month, you fund one counseling session for someone who couldn’t otherwise afford it on their own. 🙂
We find that, for some people, the (seemingly simple) act of applying for counseling on our website is the most profound step toward healing that they’ve ever taken.
We’re teaming up with our downtown Boise friends at Piece Unique Clothing Co to promote The Stitch all throughout the month of April.
Choose to forgive. Because your life is far too precious to be spent being angry about someone else’s actions, of which you have zero control.
When you wear The Stitch, you’re symbolically wearing your voice, showing support for people you love to share their stories.
I have a luxury in my job in that I get to access the best in people. And, by building others up, they are built up.
You probably don’t realize this, but our counseling program was meant to be. Plain and simple.
10,000 individuals have now physically held The Stitch kit in their hands!
By forgiving, what you are doing is giving up any claim to what happened and stripping it of any control or weight it has over your life and well-being. Forgiveness is for YOU…
I have to tell you, I am just thrilled that The Stitch kit is in CAUSEBOX this Spring! Such a neat door to open for us!
We have some fun stuff happening around here! Ah man, I want to tell you all about it, but I can’t just yet!
In my TEDx talk this past weekend, I mentioned that while I was a victim at one time, I am no longer.
What an honor to speak at TEDxEmory at Emory University in Atlanta this past weekend!
Here’s my question for you: How much different do you think our world would be if every single person knew his/her innate, infinite worth?
Next week I’ll be heading to Atlanta, Georgia to speak at TEDxEmory at Emory University!
This week we’re doing a really fun collaboration – an instagram giveaway, actually – with some orgs/brands that I love.
Laura’s a bubbly personality who you can’t help but like, and she featured us on her rad fashion blog!
This is Reid. I call him “Reidsy-poo”, but no one knows that. He’s my old college roommate and one of my favorite people. And now, he’s the newest member of our Advisory. Ooohh yyyeeeaaaahhhh!
“Awesome – now, every single thing that Speak Your Silence does or says has to be rooted in at least one of these three core values. Everything.”
We have some fun stuff ahead this spring! In the mean time, we’ve had some awesome volunteers in here lately helping assemble and package The Stitch kits.
Our gray pocket tees are back in stock! (*BONUS: All styles and colors are now available in sizes small through XL!)
There’s nothing more energizing than hearing stories from all of you who are changing lives, and whose lives are being changed. It fuels our tanks.
In a sense, it seems a bit contradictory that the safest people… are actually the boldest. But, it’s true.
To me, issues represent problems; problems with no obvious solutions. Causes, on the other hand, represent solutions. They inspire me to take action.
This month is probably going to be our biggest month ever – at least, in regard to the number of people who come to us for counseling!
I believe the most important thing that Speak Your Silence, as an organization, or I, as a human being, can do is deliver truth (with love) into people’s lives.
…we designed our packaging so that when you receive your shirt in the mail from us, it’s all about you + you get to open it like a present.
If you have a big heart, fantastic people skills, and a killer work ethic, we’d love to have you work with us!
Having a voice and being heard are two very, very different things.
We each have such a unique and valuable role to play. And our voice, when used, can make impact that we never imagined.
I may not be the most knowledgeable in some areas, or the most talented in other areas… but it seems as though I can make more impact by simply being a friend anyway.
